Director, Mr Shobhit Pundir, the Accountant -and Himanshu Rawat, visited Jakhadhar school (17th Nov 2021), Matari Village (18 Nov) and Khirmu Village (19th Nov). It was a review and feedback visit. Here are major finding:
Jakhadhar school: The school has reopened; The new teacher (Punam) has been working well. Mid Day meal is being served regularly. Students' scholarship issue needs to be addressed soon. The tin roof of the guest rooms needs painting. Possibility of a group visiting for 2-3 days was explored and discussed. The children were shown a short Charlie Chaplin movie.
Matari: 11 CCT have been made as per the second year plan. 6 were placed very close to the edge, which can lead to soil erosion. The community has been asked to fix it. MMDs have not kept clear records, though saving has been done. Sohan has been requested to address it.
Khirmu: 18 CCT have been completed and verified. Landslide due to flash flood was examined. It was decided that Khirmu should have double wired check dams (5) and sinle wired gully plugs (19) to control this slide in future. The cost difference is to be assessed and a grant request to the donor has to be sent soon.
